Explore Jonkershoek by E-Bike (Self Guided) – Stellenbosch

Includes: E-Bike, Safety Gear, Navigation Route on Free App
Excludes: Reserve Entry Fee, Cell Phone with data – you would need a mobile phone with data to follow the trail.
Departure Times: 9:00 & 14:00 (Tuesdays – Sundays)
Distance: 11 km inside the reserve
(From Lanzerac Trail Center you have a 6.6km cycle on a bicycle track to reach the reserve.)
Departure Point: Lanzerac Wine Estate, Vinebikes Trail Centre
Price: R 450 per E-bike / R 150 per Half Wheeler / R 50 per Star Seat
Sill Level: You need to be able to ride a bicycle to ride the e-bikes.
If you have a child on a half wheeler or star seat attached to your e-bike then you need to be a confident rider.

What is an E-Fatbike
E-Fatbikes makes this anybody’s adventure as you can go further and explore more! E-Bikes are bicycles integrated with a motor and a battery that assists the cyclist and allows them to cycle further with less effort.
The Route
The whole route is on Jeep tracks and dedicated bicycle lanes and not technical. Perfect for the whole family.
Tour Description
Tours depart from Vinebikes Trail Centre at Lanzerac Wine Estate. During the tour you will follow a free navigation app on your mobile phone that will take you on a 24 km picturesque route deep into the Jonkershoek Reserve. The e-bikes make this tour enjoyable for young and old alike as you are able to go further with less effort.
Tour route will elevate slightly once you enter Jonkershoek so that you can enjoy panoramic views of the reserve with majestic mountains towering on all sides. At the furthest point of the route you will cross a stream where you can fill your water bottle with fresh mountain water and even take a dip on a hot day.
From here the route will follow the Eerste River which flows past Lanzerac that was your starting point.
Along the route you can expect to see the Cape Sugarbird on proteas.
